The city of Savage graces the south bank of the Minnesota River and is part of the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, as well as the Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve. In a nod to the city’s rich history, The Hamilton living community bears the original name given to the city of Savage. The Village of Hamilton became the City of Savage over 100 years ago.
It is a city that is abundant with entertainment and cultural offerings, has a relaxed lifestyle, and is conveniently located just over 20 miles from the central metro area. The downtown district of Savage is home of The Hamilton, and various restaurants, shops, and markets are within walking distance.
